Team Purpose: The cabinet plans Unbound's national student event, APEX. We are looking for motivated individuals who would like to plan APEX 2024. Team members will complete all aspects of the event planning - including brainstorming, marketing, and logistics. They'll develop the event schedule, recruit speakers, plan special events, and more!
Responsibilities: 1) Attend weekly meetings (typically via Google Meet) 3-4 times/week leading up to the event, and work on various projects according to your strengths and the needs of the cabinet. 2) Have at least 1 hour/day (M-F) to check-in with the team and attend a meeting if necessary. The weekly time commitment will vary throughout the year, ranging from 5 to 20+ hours depending on which team you're on and the current priorities. 3) Availability to attend a 4-day planning meeting in Staunton, VA, during November this Fall. Dates to be finalized, but will be clarified further in the application process. 4) Ability to attend APEX in August 2024 (dates will be clarified in the application process).
Pre-Requisites: 1) Applicants must have attended an official Unbound Live event in the past, such as APEX, Basecamp, Capstone, or other retired Student Life events. 2) Applicants should be have a personal commitment to team goals, desire to learn event planning and business skills from Unbound staff.
Other important info: Travel to/from the event and planning session, and event expenses, are covered for all members of the cabinet. Accepting a position on the cabinet is to commit for one year, with the opportunity to re-apply for a second year.
