JONATHAN BRUSH is the President and CEO of Unbound, a homeschool graduate, and a homeschool dad of six. He is passionate about providing students with the tools they need to use their education in the real world. He worked for nine years as a Director of Admissions for a private liberal arts college and has since worked in non-traditional higher education for over a decade.
Jonathan loves Unbound and Unbound students and dreams every single day about new ways to connect them to each other. He gets to work with the world’s best team and the most amazing student body in the history of the world (which is just as awesome as it sounds).

How long is the course? Navigate is an 16-week self-paced course.
Do I get to interact with the instructor? Yes! Navigate includes two live Q&As where you can dig deep with your instructor and fellow classmates.
Does Navigate count as a high school elective? Yes, high school students can take Navigate as a high school elective for a half-credit. Assignments can be self-graded or graded by a parent or teacher. Students can also take Navigate as an ungraded course.
I’m already taking classes and have a full schedule — what will my course experience look like? This course has been designed to be conducive to a busy student or graduate’s schedule and includes no more than 5 hours per week of homework. Your assignments will consist of reflection and application. In short, you’re expected to do something with what you learn – not just write papers about it.
Is Navigate worth college credit? Navigate is a non-accredited course designed to equip young adults with a framework for decision-making regardless of the kind of vocation they are pursuing.
Should I still take Navigate if I already know what I am doing next fall and don’t need to make a college decision? Growing up isn’t just about making a college decision. In fact, you’ll face significant decisions with major consequences throughout the rest of your life. Navigate is designed to teach you how to make wise, discerning choices, regardless of what decision you happen to be facing now.
What if I’m not interested in pursuing college? Navigate is for any young adult seeking an effective strategy for making decisions in life. Whether you are pursuing college or not, Navigate is designed to set you up to launch into whatever is next armed with the ability to make decisions, ask the right questions, and learn from both failure and success.
