“Navigate reminded me that God is sovereign and that I should be asking
and seeking questions and learning rather than easy answers.”
“The emphasis on critical thinking and taking responsibility. . . have undoubtedly changed my life!”
“More than anything, I was grateful to hear that I wasn’t alone when it came to being so uncertain about or overwhelmed by the future.”
JONATHAN BRUSH is the President and CEO of Unbound, a homeschool graduate, and a homeschool dad of six. He worked for nine years as a Director of Admissions for a private, liberal arts college, and then spent over ten years working in non-traditional higher education.
Jonathan loves Unbound and Unbound students and dreams every single day about new ways to connect them to each other. He gets to work with the world’s best team and the most amazing student body in the history of the world (which is just as awesome as it sounds), and field questions about Rule 4 violations (ask an Unbound student to explain). Jonathan and his family make their home in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.
“Navigate has given me an incredible foundation of knowledge to build upon. It has equipped me with a practical starting point and plan to live a meaningful life.”
“It helped me feel normal that I don’t know all the answers yet, and it encouraged me to pick something to do.”
Does Navigate count as a high school elective? Yes, high school students can take Navigate as a high school elective for a half-credit. Assignments can be self-graded or graded by a parent or teacher. Students can also take Navigate as an ungraded course.
I’m already taking classes and have a full schedule — what will my course experience look like? This course has been designed to be conducive to a busy student or graduate’s schedule and includes no more than 5 hours per week of homework. Your assignments will consist of reflection and application. In short, you’re expected to do something with what you learn – not just write papers about it.
Is Navigate worth college credit? Navigate is a non-accredited course designed to equip young adults with a framework for decision-making regardless of the kind of vocation they are pursuing.
At Unbound, we develop exceptional Christian leaders by providing the tools, community, and experiences that enable an extraordinary life of purpose.
