Do you want training for your student that puts service and discipleship at the center?
Join us at Christ Community Church in Birmingham, AL, for The Thrive Event—a free, in-person training for rising and current high schoolers, recent grads, and parents. On Saturday afternoon, Trent Emmack, Event Speaker and Admissions Counselor with Unbound, will be discussing the difference between success and thriving and what that means in the context of the current education landscape. Trent will be presenting sessions covering topics such as:
- Building relationships
- Creating value
- Living resiliently
- Failing forward
- Learning by doing
- Overcoming fear
All from a distinctly Christian perspective. If you want a values-aligned path beyond traditional education, either for now or in the future, this event is for you.

Tuesday
- 6:30 - 7:30pm: Thriving vs. Success - a look at the educational landscape and the possible results at play
- 7:30 - 8:30pm: How to Find Direction - the process of building resilience and identifying core strengths
- 8:30 - 9:15pm: What is the Ascend program?

Meet Your Event Speaker
Trent Emmack, Unbound Event Speaker
TRENT EMMACK was born in Ozark mountains of Southwestern Missouri, but now lives in the Shenandoah valley in Virginia. He brings energy and nonstop ideas to the table and is always ready to try something new or dangerous. Trent is a deep thinker, has a well-informed and unique perspective on current culture, and is passionate about distilling big ideas into easy-to-understand principles. When speaking, Trent loves to incorporate personal stories that make his sessions hilarious and energetic, but always with the purpose of reinforcing the bigger ideas he is trying to communicate.
