Unbound's

TEEN TRACK

“They’re not boring adults.” That’s how one teenager described Unbound’s Teen Track team. This group consists of five young adults in their early to mid-20’s who met through various leadership internships where they have led and mentored young adults in Unbound’s Ascend program, planned national 5-day student events designed to equip and empower students through presentations, games, and in-person connection.

Today, the team has the incredible privilege to engage with teenagers at conventions across the country. Through punchy sessions, fast-paced games, and relatable characters, they show teenagers how to take ownership of their lives and live with courage during a season of life that’s often confusing.

Meet the Team

Trent Emmack

Trent Emmack was born in Ozark mountains of Southwestern Missouri, but now lives in the Shenandoah valley in Virginia. He brings energy and nonstop ideas to the table and is always ready to try something new or dangerous. Trent is a deep thinker, has a well-informed and unique perspective on current culture, and is passionate about distilling big ideas into easy-to-understand principles. When speaking, Trent loves to incorporate personal stories that make his sessions hilarious and energetic, but always with the purpose of reinforcing the bigger ideas he is trying to communicate.

Riley Maas

Riley Maas, a long-time resident of the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, combines her love of people and details as the accounting manager at Unbound while also directing her 8th year of high school theater. Her unique combination of skills was fostered at a young age through homeschooling, ultimately culminating in earning her bachelor’s degree at 19. With a passion for helping young adults to identify their unique gifts and challenges, Riley applies practical wisdom and experience to equip the next generation to live out their God-written stories.

Nick Rodriquez

Nick Rodriquez was born and still lives in a small farm town in Central Illinois spending his days fishing, hunting, hiking, and spending time with loved ones and his dog. He currently works in landscaping and farming, spending much of his days operating equipment. Outside of this sphere Nick spent 6 months with the 3D printing division with the Army Corps of Engineers working to print a bridge, coached club soccer in addition to having played the sport for 18 years, and recently worked as a mountain guide in the Collegiate Peaks region of the Rocky Mountains. Fun fact, Nick identifies himself with an online group whose stated goal is to bring medieval cloaks back into style.
He is currently a senior at Liberty University studying next generation ministry and is a graduate of the Colson Fellows program: a 10-month religious and worldview intensive. When not hiking or working out, Nick enjoys pulling his interests in religions and history into writing, working to refine the skill of conveying Biblical concepts in ways that are meaningful. Nick loves to bring his adventurous personality into his talks and will probably reference Lord of the Rings at least once per talk. Nick seeks to convey and delve deeper into the beautiful world God has made and show how to live in it with a wonder and sense of adventure.

Hannah Klar

Hannah Klar lives in Southwest Wisconsin, where she was born and raised with typical Midwest pride and appreciation for cheese. Her average days are split between studying, arranging flowers, keeping up with all of her hobbies, and occasionally raising unusual animals. Hannah is a creative who loves brainstorming new ideas as well as working with hands-on projects (see the above reference to countless hobbies). Most importantly, she is passionate about living a faithful life. This equips her to pour into the people around her as she encourages them in their walk with the Lord.

Ashleigh Brush

Ashleigh Brush lives in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, where she currently spends her time making lattes, chasing small siblings, and reading lots of books. While she has many interests (ask her about typewriters or miniatures), she is passionate about two things in particular: learning as much as possible, and connecting deeply with the people around her. Where learning and people intersect, you have found her happy place. She combines her more recent high school experience with a love for sharing perspective on courage, identity, growth, and redemption.

Sessions

ADULT, Part I: Ask, Do, Understand & ADULT, Part II: Live, Thrive

While often presented as a two-part series, the ADULT content can be split into 1-5 sessions.

Every parent wants their young adult to become, well, just that – an adult. And many young people want the same for themselves. However, in the midst of a generation steeped in extended adolescence, how exactly do young people grow into brave, joyful, self-directed, hard-working, and healthy young adults with great relationships and a vision for the future? Spoiler alert: the answer isn’t just “adulting”.

This two-part series suggests a different approach to the adventure of adulthood – one that opens the door to a life of impact, purpose, and thriving. Part I explains why the ability to ask good questions in a culture of assumptions is so powerful, why action is such a powerful catalyst for young people, and why understanding what we were designed for is foundational to everything else we do. Part II digs deeply into the idea that while we might study the theoretical as children and adolescents, the whole point is to prepare us for living in the real world. This series concludes with the challenge that even though young adults today face a generation with unprecedented levels of darkness, despair, and hopelessness, there are few more powerful testimonies than a life that demonstrates what it looks like to truly thrive – and offers that same light and hope to others.

Extreme Ownership

It’s common knowledge that leadership requires responsibility…and it’s also no secret that lectures on this topic abound, especially for young adults. Yet, even with this onslaught of information, countless leaders – young and old – still forget these basic principles. The consequences can be devastating. In this session, join us as we discuss a new perspective of taking ownership, not just acting “responsibly”, in all spheres of influence.

Why Higher Education is the Worst Investment You Can Make in 2025

Discover the true ROI on college degrees and part-time jobs in today’s economy. Learn how to make your investment in your student’s future count through proven, guaranteed paths to success and thriving with robust alternatives to the traditional post-high school options.

The Skills You Need to Live Life Well

Why do we think that the best way to launch children into adulthood is to tell them that, by the age of 18, they must know exactly what they want to do for their lifelong career – so they can then get the exact training and/or education they need to do that job? Has that worked for you or for most of the people you know? Does that strategy make sense in a world where technology constantly disrupts…everything? This session will teach you about the Personal Triangle: A flexible and easy to understand framework to help you find and focus on the critical transferable skills you need to not just get a career, but to live life well.

The Success Crisis: Why Misunderstanding Success is Destroying our Young Adults

Everyone loves to beat on the current young generation for their lack of work ethic and say they will never be “successful.” Which is odd, when you consider that the entire formal education system and culture is designed to and optimized to make people successful. What if learning to thrive: defined as owning your purpose, serving others through healthy relationships, and living with resilience, was far more important than becoming successful, defined as being rich, famous, and/or powerful? What if becoming successful actually runs directly against what is necessary to thrive? What if the happiness of success comes at the cost of the joy of thriving? What would we need to understand and do to equip the next generation to thrive instead of equipping them to be successful?
